Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight may not be in a position to return as a traditional TV show for its second season
Moon Knight season 2? #shorts
Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight came out in 2022 and received a positive response from critics and audiences. Although there were some flaws in the portrayal of the superhero, fans expected to see more of the character in the MCU. Two years have since passed without any significant update about a second season of the show. The reason is likely the creative overhaul of Marvel's television side.
In a recent interview, Marvel's head of television, Brad Winderbaum, shared the new focus for Marvel's television shows. He shared that Marvel will produce shows more like traditional TV, which would run for multiple seasons and many years. However, it may be too late for Moon Knight to become a part of this new change.
After spending the last few years creating TV shows that tied directly into the movies, Marvel seems to have learned its lesson. During a recent interview promoting Agatha All Along, Marvel head of television Brad Winderbaum shared with EW that the studio is changing the way they think about TV shows. It seems like a change that fans would wholeheartedly welcome.
