Every artist, regardless of the medium of expression, can often find themselves in a difficult position, without ideas, at least at one point in their life. For someone as creative as Hajime Isayama, it was also not something he could escape. No matter how fertile a mind may be with ideas, there can often be times when they encounter writer's block or artist's block, unless you're Jeffrey Archer.

Isayama's creative journey has been one where he has learned a lot with each step he has taken. While there are times when the mangaka criticizes his own work, there are also times when he has praise flowing through him, acknowledging the time and effort put into Attack on Titan. When Isayama found himself in a difficult situation, his childhood self came under pressure.

During an interview with Febri, Hajime Isayama opened up about how sometimes, when drawing the Titans for Attack on Titan, the need to make them unique also meant coming up with new ideas for every type that was introduced. He talked about it being the Cart Titan that became a nuisance to him.
