Chuck Lorre's name is synonymous with some of the most popular sitcoms on television over the years. Known as the "king of sitcoms", the writer and producer's works include Dharma and Greg, and his two major blockbusters Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory, both of which had hugely successful runs on television.

Being a veteran of this niche field for several years now, Lorre has constantly heard criticism directed at sitcoms and their relevance in the future. But for the creator, these views didn't hold water as he firmly believed that the genre wasn't going away anytime soon.

The success of Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory went a long way in proving that Chuck Lorre was always meant to be a sitcom creator and writer. With other notable shows such as Young Sheldon and Bookie, he has proven that he is fully worthy of his moniker, the "King of sitcoms".
