One of the best scenes from The Last of Us franchise was not in the game and fans have Pedro Pascal's improvisation to thank for it.

Long before the series was even developed, The Last of Us revolutionized the way stories were told. Although it was a post-apocalyptic action game, it managed to leave its viewers in pieces when it was done telling its story, representing human connection rather than a story on the surface to drive battle.

Considering how iconic the game became, it's safe to say that Pedro Pascal's 2023 show was constantly overshadowed by the work it tried to adapt. With this in mind, every detail must be faithful to the source material, and the things that were changed must have a good reason behind it.

While there's no denying that every detail of the show is perfect and does the game justice, there was one departure from Pascal that ended up outshining the original work.
