If George Lucas gave the word, fans could be treated to another blockbuster of an animated film.

Dave Filoni is responsible for fleshing out much of the Clone Wars with his brilliant animated series. But there was also a film the director was working on that introduced Ahsoka Tano as Anakin's padwan, called Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

This film was well received and loved by fans, and while there has been an entire show covering what happens in its wake, Dave Filoni revealed in 2011 that there might be a chance that fans could get more of it, but only if George Lucas was ready.

While the story of The Clone Wars has carried over to other parts of the franchise like Star Wars: Rebels, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Bad Batch and more, Filoni's promise in 2011 may still be true, but holds less water now. Speaking to Den of Geek, regarding whether there will be more Clone Wars movies, Dave Filoni said:
