While fans question why the film couldn't be released in its entirety in the first place, BRZRKR is marching towards becoming a potential flagship IP for Netflix.

Zack Snyder is gearing up to release his Director's Cut of Rebel Moon, which has fans questioning why there was even a need for the original version. The Rebel Moon duology, which Snyder intends to make as big as its inspiration, Star Wars, has received a lot of attention from critics, but there's hope that this new iteration of the film will help the IP win over some fans that weren't Impressed by the previous posts.

Keanu Reeves is also coming to Netflix with an IP of his creation, BRZRKR, which could do better with audiences compared to Rebel Moon. Created by Reeves with writer Matt Kindt and artist Ron Garney, the series will be adapted into live-action with Reeves starring in production, along with an anime adaptation of the material.

While Rebel Moon had a lot of hype surrounding it, the film struggled to find the kind of acclaim it expected. But given that Netflix will likely look to fill its ranks with quality sci-fi adaptations in the wake of several sci-fi juggernauts by the streaming giant coming to an end, BRZRKR, with all the criticism it brings, is a welcome venture after the blunder that was Rebel Moon.
