Even if data cards appear on your map, they can be hard to come by when you don't know how to get to their area. Sometimes you have to activate a certain mechanism to find them. This is the case with Maz's Castle Takodana. Fortunately, you have this guide to help.
To get the data card, you need a character that can grapple to reach the top of a pillar where you can find a button. BB-8 is highly recommended as everyone will most likely have access to this character. From your ship's landing spot, follow the path along the shore of the lake, where you can find a fisherman in red. Continue along that path until you see a pillar. Grab onto the top of the pillar and stand on the button to activate the mechanism. After this, the data card will appear.
