Linus Torvalds has released version 6.8 of the Linux kernel.
OpenSSH and Git Commitment
"So it took a bit longer for the number of commits to come down in this build than I usually prefer," Torvalds wrote on the Linx kernel mailing list on Sunday, "but a lot of it seemed to be about various self-test updates (networking in particular) rather than some real sign of trouble.”
"And the last two weeks have been pretty quiet, so I feel like there's no real reason to postpone 6.8."
So he delivered, ending his own speculation that this core cut might need an eighth release candidate.
