"Still Here" showcases some great fight scenes
League of Legends action-packed 2024 movie suggests a look at Yasuo's future
It is an annual tradition for Riot Games to release a new movie for League of Legends. In fact, when Riot went on a minimalist tour of the Rift with the 2023 cinematic "Brink of Infinity," fans revolted on social media. Riot noted the desire for a big CGI movie, and this year the developer has delivered with "Still Here."
"Still Here" is the 2024 movie and showcases some familiar faces from the League of Legends roster, including Kayle, Morgana, Aatrox, Yasuo, Tryndamere, Kindred and Ashe. It does not seem to advance knowledge in any way; we don't see characters exchanging dialogue or resolving plot threads. Instead, we see a montage of battles from Runeterra's history.
The film opens with Kayle and Morgana, the twins imbued with divine power from Mount Targon, facing off against the monstrous Aatrox. Based on their nice matching attire, this could be during the earlier days of Demacia's history, when the two heroes protected the fledgling nation from harm.
