Longlegs – Movie Review

From the moment Oz Perkins' chilling new psychological horror thriller Longlegs begins its credits with a reddish glow on the screen, you begin to realize the physiological grip and effect this film has on you. Your heart begins to race. The fight-or-flight response is triggered when your pulse feels like it's going to break through your neck and wrist like the Kool-Aid man.

Longlegs possesses a raw and unusual power that we haven't experienced since Jonathan Demme's Silence of the Lambs. Oz Perkins masterfully builds and stores tension, mood and pace that leaves you in a psychologically catatonic state, afraid to move. A throwback to the great thrillers of the 90s, pulling back the curtain on religion's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, with more on his mind than gutless hope scares.

Goofy will leave you breathless.
