Early gameplay footage of Black Ops 6 did not live up to the gaming community's expectations.

Black Ops 6 will be released later this year and expectations are through the roof. The gaming community has gotten used to the annual release of the beloved first-person shooter series, but the gameplay and mechanics are mostly dated, and fans are losing hope of seeing any modern improvements.

Activision has entrusted this year's entry to two game developers which is not common and means there is a possibility that it could be twice as much fun. Fans can get critical of something they don't like and early gameplay footage has already been ripped to shreds.

Activision spent years keeping the franchise afloat and relevant amid all the new stiff competition in the modern era when online multiplayer and live service games are all the rage. The gaming community has high hopes for this year's entry and hopes that legacy features like gore will return in Black Ops 6 to enhance the experience even better.
