The number of Marvel Universe characters is huge and constantly growing as new superheroes are introduced. Still, it's safe to say that hundreds are the most popular from various franchises and mediums. The latest third-person hero shooter Marvel Rivals will introduce just a handful at launch until it grows into something unlike anything before.

While the developers are sure to bring some of the universe's most familiar faces, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Doctor Strange and many more, there are poster boys and girls who, despite their popularity, should not be introduced to the game for many reasons.

Marvel Rivals will take over the hero-shooter extravaganza when it releases. Overwatch was a hit in 2016 and the upcoming title from NetEase builds on a similar formula with the addition of popular superheroes.
