Microsoft just had their big business podcast with not so big announcements. While the focus of the podcast was more than just new hardware or game announcements, it was more about addressing the previous leaks. In addition to Diablo 4 coming to Game Pass, we now have confirmation of four Xbox-exclusive games for PS5 and Nintendo.

Xbox brings its exclusive games to PS5 & Switch

Phil Spencer, head of Xbox announced that four upcoming games will be coming to other platforms. Although he didn't reveal the names when asked, Phil Spencer had quite a few things to say about this strategy. While noting that there are several reasons behind this non-exclusivity strategy, Spencer says,

"I have a fundamental belief that over the next 5 or 10 years, exclusive games – games that are exclusive to a piece of hardware – will become a smaller and smaller part of the gaming industry."

This could just mean that Microsoft is completely going the route of non-exclusivity in the future. In addition, Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, mentions Fortnite and Roblox with their cross-platform successes. According to Microsoft, this strategy is focused on building a long-term player base.
