Warner Bros. Originally announced earlier this year during a financial earnings call, Games officially unveiled "Mortal Kombat 1," the next entry in the long-running fighting game. Although the gameplay is something that the developers have yet to share, they have given us a taste of what to expect from the reboot of this popular fighting game.

The game was revealed through a bombastic trailer in all its Mortal Kombat glory. However, we warn that people who are not used to guts and blood may find the trailer disgusting.

Mortal Kombat 1 is a remake of the first game in the series, seemingly taking place after the end of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath. The game will feature an original backstory for some of the iconic fighters, including Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kitana, Mileena and more. In addition to this, the game will also feature a single-player campaign, something NetherRealm Games developed fighting games are known for.

Mortal Kombat 1 will also feature redesigned combat mechanics, which includes Kameo Fighters. The Kameo Fighter system will allow players to choose a character from the unique roster of partner characters. These characters can then help players mid-match.
