Eiichiro Oda gives everyone their time to shine in One Piece, be it the protagonist Luffy, Zoro or Usopp; or the characters that keep coming and going in the series. Each of them gets an opportunity to grow even if the process itself is slow. Upgrades and power-ups for them all help their growth as the stakes get higher and villains get stronger.
Out of all the characters, Usopp is the one who seems most worthy of an upgrade after waiting the longest. He has been waiting for his transformative moment, one that many fans agree is long overdue. Fans seem to see it too, they want and need Usopp to get his glorious moment.
In a One Piece clip shared by @luffybeingluffy on Instagram, Luffy and Usopp were seen sparring with the former taking the offense and the latter the defense. While it would be easy to assume at first that it was an unfair matchup, given how overpowered the main character of the series is, it doesn't seem to be going that way.
