Freedom of speech and expression is a fundamental right in many countries and while it gives free will to the opinions of many, Bleach has often gotten the short end of the stick. Opinions are shared by many and most, some of which may matter and some of which may not. Often people share their likes and dislikes about certain topics regardless of whether they have expertise in the subject or not.

There may be times when such opinions are taken lightly while others are not. People who create projects on a larger scale are exposed to the opinions of not only their critics but also a large audience. Tite Kubo, whose magnum opus sits atop the Big Three of Shonen manga, understands the scrutiny of what it means to have a project with a bittersweet response.

When fans got upset over Orihime's involvement in Bleach, Tite Kubo knew it was time to respond to fans who didn't understand his work as clearly as others did (via Reddit). Of all the Big Three, Kubo's series have often received the most backlash, although all have come under scrutiny at one point or another.
