The war drama Band of Brothers was created by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks and adapted from Stephen E. Ambrose's book of the same name. The miniseries premiered on HBO back in 2001 and ran for 10 episodes. It is one of the most critically acclaimed shows ever made, with a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The miniseries had a fairly large ensemble cast, which went through many hardships during filming. But it made them give their best to the show, which won Best Miniseries at the Emmys as well as the Golden Globes next awards season. One of the most harrowing moments involved actor Damien Lewis, who played the role of Major Richard "Dick" Winters.
Damien Lewis played paratrooper Dick Winters in the show Band of Brothers. He, along with the rest of the cast, had quite a tough time filming for the show, with its plethora of fight scenes every two minutes. It was in the 10th and final episode of the series that they found some respite. Or at least that's what would happen.
