According to an account on X, Avengers: Secret Wars is getting a new title.

Avengers: Doomsday | Official trailer

The name change within the Avengers franchise began with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. This was due to the assault and domestic violence charges faced by Jonathan Majors, who was set to play the supervillain Kang the Conqueror. Subsequently, Disney announced that the name was changed to Avengers 5, and Majors was removed from the project.

The sixth film, on the other hand, was titled Avengers: Secret Wars for the time being. Now, a Marvel Update site on X has released a post showing that the sixth film will also be retitled. Although it is still a rumor, it has created a tense situation among fans, who have many words to add to the matter.

The official announcement for Avengers 5 and Avengers 6 came during San Diego Comic-Con 2022 by Kevin Feige. While the public expected a fifth film, the sixth came as a complete surprise. Both, titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, were slated to appear in the sixth phase of the MCU. But while everything went according to plan, the arrest of Jonathan Majors created a major controversy for both Marvel Studios and Disney.
