The first part of a major technical overhaul

How to build the Liquidator Mech! No Man's Sky Worlds update

Hello Games has received much praise for its handling of No Man's Sky; the game has received tons of updates over the years, adding everything from sandworms to settlements in the galaxy. The game's latest update is the big 5.0, and it's the first part of an update to the game's world generation.

One of the biggest draws of No Man's Sky is venturing out to find wonderful and strange planets, and the new update does a lot to make that experience deeper and more interesting. Some worlds have been warped by gravitational warps, creating floating islands that make excellent base building real estate. The ocean worlds will be much more beautiful now, with dynamic wave generation and sparkling surface reflections.

None of these additions dramatically change the way you play No Man's Sky, but the new landscape should make it more enjoyable to explore. I can see myself getting lost looking at some of the new clouds, or how the new wind simulation sets off a dust storm in a desert world. There are also new flora and fauna types, including a strange hybrid of animals made up of a complex network of plant parts.
