Meta is offering millions to celebrities, including Awkwafina, to use their voice for AI projects, reigniting online trolling against the Marvel star.

The Trump-Musk interview: What will the world's richest man ask the future president?!

Since breaking into the mainstream with her many charms and talents, Awkwafina's popularity has skyrocketed, and her portrayal in Marvel Studios' Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings has also contributed to her status as a global icon. An incredibly talented celebrity, Awkwafina has worn many hats since rising to fame with her self-penned rap song, My Vag, in 2012.

The trolling has been renewed after it was reported that Mark Zuckerberg's Meta is apparently trying to use the actress and other celebrities' voices for various purposes in exchange for millions.

With the rapid development in technology and artificial intelligence, the presence of AI platforms has increased significantly in recent years. This development is no more noticeable than in the many AI-generated videos, images and music covers that abound on the internet. And it won't be surprising if we could soon find the voice of our favorite actors or characters in mundane everyday tasks like cooking instructions and GPS.
