The gaming community is calling out NetEase Games for nerfing certain characters in Marvel Rivals.

Marvel Rivals is an upcoming online multiplayer game featuring iconic heroes and villains of the Marvel brand. The gaming community immediately jumped on board the closed beta tests held by the developers and quickly concluded that some characters were too overpowered for their own good.

Juggling different characters with unique skills and powers and translating them into a video game can be difficult. Early testers noticed that the game is far from perfect and may need some tweaking before the full launch sometime next year starting with Frank Castle, better known as the Punisher.

NetEase Games has developed several online multiplayer games in the past and is qualified to deliver an authentic superhero experience. The studio teamed up with Marvel's gaming division and took the opportunity to share new details during San Diego Comic-Con to reveal the arrival of Doctor Doom in Marvel Rivals.
