Despite its popularity, Gears of War is a video game series that failed to keep up and suffered a terrible demise. This happened when The Coalition took over as series developer with Gears of War 4 and introduced a new storyline involving Kait and JD as central characters.
The action was interrupted by the recent announcement of Gears of War: E-Day, a prequel set 14 years before the first game. However, the third installment in the Kait and JD trilogy may contain something exciting for fans.
While longtime fans were incredibly excited to see Marcus Phoenix and Dominic Santiago in the trailer for E-Day, some were also confused. That's because the series had already begun a renewal, which eventually led to the strange ending of Gears 5.
