Just like in real life, fishing in Once Human requires you to be next to a body of water that you can fish from. You have to throw in your fishing rod and use it to reel in and catch fish. Before you can do all that, you first need to get yourself a fishing rod and some nice bait.
Both fishing rod and fishing bait can be crafted through your Supplies Workbench. You can get both of these items pretty early on, making fishing a very good way to get food in the early game.
