Van Augur, the sniper from the Blackbeard Pirates in One Piece is a strong character, but Toei may have exaggerated his true strength.

Oda's ORIGINAL plan to end One Piece was INSANE!

One of the greatest villains of the final war in One Piece, the Blackbeard Pirates have made their name across the New World as they continue their journey. In the anime series, they are seen fighting Monkey D. Garp when he attacks Hachinosu to save Koby, and in the manga, they make a brief appearance during the Egghead Island arc.

It's already established that Blackbeard is planning something big, and his crew is powerful enough to see his plan through. One of the strongest members of Blackbeard's crew is Van Augur, the sniper and third captain of Blackbeard's ship. Although his power is truly terrifying, Toei Animation may have exaggerated it in the anime.

In one of the earlier episodes, Van Augur is seen destroying an opponent that was too powerful even for Gear 4 Luffy. This led to one of the captains of the Blackbeard Pirates being on par with Luffy's second strongest form. Eiichiro Oda needs to address this issue as soon as possible as it would cause a major blunder in the story.
