Roronoa Zoro may have a devastating fate awaiting him.

One Piece has had several mysteries over the years. While some were revealed by Eiichiro Oda, others led to the creation of fan theories. Due to One Piece's plot branching out in all directions with the huge number of characters, several interesting fan theories have come up over two decades. The Wano arc proved to be a stop in Monkey D. Luffy's journey to become the Pirate King.

The arc saw Roronoa Zoro wielding one of Kozuki Oden's two swords, the Enma. Although he was a skilled swordsman, Zoro had many problems using one of the 21 special class swords. At one point it drained almost all of his Haki and turned his right hand into a skeletal form. That gave rise to the fan theory about Special Grade Swords requiring some hefty fees from their users.

Admiral Fujitora once revealed that he blinded himself because the world was too cruel. Although he said this, he did not mention what kind of cruelty he was dealing with. One Piece's latest fan theory suggests that since his blade was Special Grade, it asked him for his eyes so he could trust it blindly. It further explains that all Special Grade Swords may have asked something or the other from their users to allow the handlers to unlock their full potential.
