Oppo, the very popular smartphone maker, has made an important announcement today regarding its phone software called Color OS. The public beta of the new version, Color OS 14, started back in October for select devices. Today, the company announced that ColorOS 14 has begun its global rollout from the beta stage to the stable version.

ColorOS 14 Feature Walk-Through: Here's What's New! | Amazing features!

Let's talk about the new features in Color OS 14. Oppo says it introduces an optimized Aquamorphic design that essentially carries over ColorOS 13's approach. The design language aims to dynamically adapt the smartphone's UI colors according to the context. Basically, the colors in the system's user interface are matched based on various factors such as the time of day and the phone's current status. Oppo also says this new design is "inspired by water," hence the name.

Next is Aqua Dynamics. This is a new UI feature that dynamically integrates different apps and common interactions done on a smartphone and places them at the top. It looks very similar to the iPhone's dynamic island found in Apple's new 2023 lineup. When you're in the middle of a voice or screen recording, you can continue to monitor its status while doing other things on your phone.

Apart from this, Color OS 14 also has some new useful tools. The new File Dock is very useful for conveniently storing files and other things (like Amazon lists, pictures, books). After doing that, File Dock saves all your data for 30 days and you can quickly access it! There is also a new Smart Image Matting feature. This allows users to remove the background from a subject in their photos. Oppo is also introducing new Always on Display (AOD) wallpapers, while promoting a "go green" initiative with it.
