There have been some reports of people not being able to load their Palworld saves. This can be heartbreaking if you put in a lot of hours. What makes it worse is that there is no official method to recover save files.

Some players have reported finding their own methods to try and recover their lost saves. Although these are not guaranteed to work, they are worth a try. The process can be a little confusing, but as long as you stick to this guide, you should be fine!

To try to recover lost save files, you need to replace some files in the Palworld save directory. Keep in mind that this method only works on the Steam version of the game, as the Game Pass version works differently.
