To this day, Pocketpair remains one of the few indie developers to have cracked the formula for a monster hunter game with exceptional gameplay. Yes, I'm talking about Palworld, the company's big success from earlier this year. But as the days went by, players wanted more, causing the game to drop off the charts. Well, Pocketpair heard our wishes and delivered with their new Sakurajima update.

While the Palworld Sakurajima update may look like just another island update, it is much more than that. Thanks to a copy from Pocketpair, I got the chance to fight Croajiro and Prixters, get beat up by the new boss, and explore the scrapyards and oil rigs before being released. With all said and done, here's what I think about the Palworld Sakurajima DLC update.

While my first thought was more Pals, the new Palworld update made me stop in my tracks and be amazed at how beautiful the new island looked. The update's name Sakurajima is perfect because the northern and central parts of the island are covered in Sakura trees. Also, an ancient Japanese temple is right near the new tower boss.

The eastern part, however, was a completely different story. A plethora of small ponds and mushrooms made the place look exceptional. Something we didn't have in Palworld before.
