At this point, hardly anyone can argue the impact artificial intelligence has had on the world. Whether it's the top ChatGPT-like apps that everyone is drooling over or the new GPT-4 LLM, AI's reach is vast. It has even dipped into the mainstream world, where musicians use AI to create art. One of the most notable examples of this will soon be The Beatles, as they now release their final song with the help of AI. Find out all the details below.

Paul McCartney uses AI to release new song with late John Lennon l GMA

Sir Paul McCartney, the lead singer and bass guitarist of 'The Beatles', has decided to use AI in a brand new final song to be released to the public. McCartney confirmed the same in an interview with the BBC's Radio 4 Today programme.

To achieve the same, AI is used to distinguish John Lennon's vocals from a track where he sang with a piano and guitar background. The voice will then be used along with instruments and mixed to create a final record.

Although Paul has not revealed the name of the song to be released, hints point to an unreleased one titled "Now and Then." The track is reportedly part of the collection Lennon gave to Sir McCartney through cassettes shortly before the singer's death. This track was recorded on a boombox with John singing.
