We're two days into the new year and the next supposed big entry into the rather cluttered mid-range smartphone segment in India has finally been announced. Xiaomi noted (pun intended) its launch of the Redmi Note 13 series this month, and it looks like we'll also get the much-anticipated POCO X6 series on January 11.

POCO's promotional banner on the Flipkart mobile app revealed that the official launch date of the POCO X6 and X6 Pro was January 11, 2024. The landing page appears to have been accidentally posted a few hours earlier, confirming the date. It has now changed to only show the trailer. POCO has yet to confirm the launch date. For the unaware, the POCO X6 and X6 Pro are the successors to the POCO X5 and X5 Pro from 2023. Leaks suggest that the POCO X6 is a Redmi Note 13 Pro in disguise and will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, which is quite similar in performance compared with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.

The phone will have UFS 3.1 storage and a 64MP primary sensor, paired with a 13MP Ultrawide and 2MP macro camera.
