Ever since the latest gaming sensation Palworld was announced, we knew the game would contain references to Pokemon. But as soon as this "Pokemon with guns" game was released, the buddy models in the game seemed more identical to Pokemon than expected. While there's no evidence of plagiarism or asset flipping yet, we can't deny that some of the pals in Palworld look identical to many popular Pokemon. Now that The Pokemon Company is investigating possible infringement issues, we decided to list 15 pals in Palworld that resemble popular Pokemon.

Palworld VS Pokemon – All Similar Patterns (Comparison)

Note: We have mentioned the buddies that look the same or have a distinct resemblance to certain Pokemons. This post does not support the claims of infringement due to lack of sufficient evidence, but the similarities, at least in these cases, are uncanny.

We kick off our Palworld vs Pokemon list with stingrays. Both Celaray and Mantine are based on stingrays in their respective worlds, so the similarities are obvious. However, their models are very identical. At first glance, the wing structure and horns appear identical. Although the Celaray has legs, the gill design and tail are visually similar to the Mantine, with only minor differences in the color scheme – a common feature of some designs in Palworld.

In a similar case as before, sheep look like sheep and if a game wants them, they can have them. However, the patterns are awkwardly too round on both for a sheep. If you remove the braids on the Wooloo, its shape is pretty much identical to the Lamball. On top of that, the oval eyes, nose shape, and leg shape of the buddy also resemble Pokémon.
