It's a new year, and with it comes some games that I've been excited about since they were revealed last year. One of these is Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, a remake of my old childhood love. But this time, Ubisoft has reimagined the entire line by looking at things in a new light. Fortunately, it has become one of the best Ubisoft launches this fiscal year. Small in budget yet rich, Lost Crown brings many brand new things to the game. Some things are a welcome addition to the Metroidvania genre.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – Review: A Metroidvania Masterpiece

Thanks to an early copy from Ubisoft, we've been wading through the beautiful world of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, and here are my thoughts on the game.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown takes place in the classic Prince of Persia universe. But instead of returning to the same age-old characters, the game explores new ones this time around. We play as Sargon, a member of the Immortals, who are elite warriors with mystical powers.

One day, when the prince of the Persian Empire, Ghassan, is kidnapped, it falls on Sargon and the immortal shoulders to rescue him and bring him back home. This takes our protagonist and his fellow members through the mysterious mountain Qaf, home of the Simurgh, the god of time.
