When it comes to the endgame for PlayStation consoles, Pro variants always come with huge upgrades. While we're still waiting to hear from Sony, it looks like the PS5 Pro is just around the corner. Among all the PS5 Pro specs that are surfing the internet, Digital Foundry has verified and analyzed them in the latest podcast. The podcast's title further confirms the PS5 Pro specs along with some new information.

PS5 Pro (2024) – The 5 BIG Upgrades!

In the podcast, Digital Foundry ran down the PS5 Pro rumors and leaks from earlier this week. They further verified the specs by saying that the CPU on the PS5 Pro will indeed be the same. The PS5 Pro, aka Project Trinity, comes with an eight-core/16-thread Zen 2 at 3.5GHz CPU, the exact same one used in the standard edition PS5. However, it comes with a boost mode that can get the frequency up to 3.85GHz.

However, the most important change in the PS5 Pro seems to be the GPU. Leaked by multiple sources, confirmed by Tom Henderson previously, and now verified by Digital Foundry, the GPU is set to receive a significant upgrade in the PS5 Pro.

It is expected to come with 60 compute units with the RDNA 3 architecture. Compared to the PS5's standard 36 RDNA 2, this seems like a nice upgrade. That said, performance also gets a boost, as it comes with 33.5 teraflops of compute performance compared to the standard PS5's 10.23TF.
