Founded by Lord of the Rings franchise director Peter Jackson, Wētā has worked on all three Deadpool films, notably handling Deadpool's masked facial expressions. Still, the project I had the most questions about was "a digitally enhanced Wolverine corpse." The latest Deadpool movie opens with Deadpool (Reynolds) telling the audience that he's about to dishonor the much-vaunted tragic ending of 2017's Logan, the film that's supposed to mark both Wolverine's death and Hugh Jackman's retirement from playing the character. In need of an extra Wolverine due to multi-faceted awesomeness, Deadpool finds Logan's grave and exhumes his body, expecting him to have healed and revived, due to his famous healing factor.
