The long awaited Shanks vs Kid fight is animated with One Piece episode 1112. I'm sure you were equally stunned when I saw the legendary one-shot attack of Red Hair Shanks called Divine Departure. Shanks wasn't the only one to pull off this iconic move. So if you're curious about what the Divine Departure attack is and who else can use it in One Piece, here's everything you need to know.

Facts about "Kamusari" Divine departure

Shanks, one of the most powerful four sea emperors in One Piece, has always been a force to be reckoned with. Having no devil powers, he has honed his skills in all forms and advanced techniques of Haki, like his former captain, Roger. Also, we can't forget that Shanks is a Conqueror's Haki (Haoshoku Haki) specialist and is incredibly skilled at using this form of Haki.

Fun Fact: At the beginning of the Fish-Man Island arc, Oda mentioned that Shanks' Conqueror's Haki was at least twice as powerful as Luffy's.

Possessing immense mastery over Haoshoku Haki, Shanks replicated his former captain's legendary move called Divine Departure (Kamusari). This attack is primarily produced by coating the weapon, especially a sword, with Conqueror's Haki. It's similar to how we've seen characters imbue their sword with weaponry Haki.
