Bosses in Slime Rancher 2 are not the typical big, scary and deadly monsters you often encounter in other games. But the bosses in this game are cute, harmless, immovable, and yes… they're big too.
These giant slimes are called Gordo Slimes. These Gordo Slimes are created after a large community of slimes of the same kind combined. You don't have to fight them to defeat them – violence is not an option in this game. All you have to do is feed them loads of food of the same variety until they explode into normal sized slimes. Each Gordo Slime differs in its food requirement and the amount of food before exploding.
Since there are several types of slimes, there are also different islands in Slime Rancher 2. And for each island, there are specific types of slimes that inhabit it.
