Sony, aiming to have a strong presence in mobile gaming, has now acquired Savage Game Studios. Savage Game Studios will become part of the new PlayStation Studios Mobile division, which has also been introduced.

Sony has acquired Savage Game Studios as part of a definitive agreement to introduce more people to its games, especially those people who are not familiar with PlayStation and the games. The new PlayStation Studios Mobile will help achieve that and will work independently of Sony's console development. The merger will result in the development of "innovative and on-the-go experiences", using old and new PlayStation IP. But there's no word on the plans yet.
