As a former MOBA geek who didn't live in Dota 2 for over 10k hours, I always thought FPS games were one dimensional. Whether it's aiming for the head or running and shooting, in the end shooters are always good, shooting. So when I first saw Shroud promoting their own game, I felt it was going to be just another tactical shooter. But after playing day one in the public beta, I realized that Specter Divide exceeded my expectations and then some. And you know what? It might just have the sauce tac-shooters need right now.

SPECTER DIVIDE IS FINALLY OUT

Spectre's main highlight is, well, Spectre. Simply put, it's a clone that you place anywhere on the map. Sounds simple right? Well, not really. Unlike clones like Yoru in Valorant or Mirage in Apex Legends, you control the clones themselves!

Players can switch back and forth between Specter at will. This means that while one of your bodies is the active player, the other remains inactive on the map.

It might sound like your Specter is always vulnerable. Fortunately, there is a solution for that as well. Your Specter acts as an alarm, notifying you of enemy activity when someone is within a radius of your free body. You will see a warning sign on the screen when someone is near your Spectre.
