Sharīʿah, also spelled Sharia, the fundamental religious concept of Islam—namely, its law. The religious law of Islam is seen as the expression of God’s command for Muslims and, in application, constitutes a system of duties that are incumbent upon all Muslims by virtue of their religious belief.

Islamic fundamentalists, or at least “reformist” fundamentalists, believe that Islam is based on the Qur’an, Hadith and Sunnah and “criticize the tradition, the commentaries, popular religious practices (maraboutism, the cult of saints), deviations, and superstitions. They aim to return to the founding texts.”

Muslims (Arabic: مسلم‎, romanized: Muslim) are people who follow or practice Islam, a monotheistic Abrahamic religion. Muslims consider the Quran, their holy book, to be the verbatim word of God as revealed to the Islamic prophet and messenger Muhammad.

Taken literally, theocracy means rule by God or gods and refers primarily to an internal “rule of the heart”, especially in its biblical application. In a pure theocracy, the civil leader is believed to have a personal connection with the civilization’s religion or belief.

Christians are monotheistic, i.e., they believe there’s only one God, and he created the heavens and the earth. Within the Bible’s New Testament, the Apostle Paul states that people of “weak faith” “eat only vegetables”, although he also warns both meat-eaters and vegetarians to “stop passing judgment on one another” when it comes to food in verse 13 and “[It is] good neither to eat flesh” in verse 21.

A cloven hoof, cleft hoof, divided hoof or split hoof is a hoof split into two toes. This is found on members of the mammalian order Artiodactyla. Examples of mammals that possess this type of hoof are cattle, deer, pigs, antelopes, gazelles, goats and sheep.

According to these, anything that “chews the cud” and has a completely split hoof is ritually clean, but those animals that only chew the cud or only have cloven hooves are unclean.
