Ted Lasso is set to return for another season after Warner Bros. Television picked up the options on three original cast members, including Hannah Waddingham. She played the role of AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton for three seasons of the show. Waddingham has now opened up about the possible renewal, sharing that she was unaware of the status of Season 4.
She has also shared that the series has no written script yet. WB Television has also picked up options on Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent, and Jeremy Swift, who plays Leslies Higgins. Securing the trio is a big move for the studio, which will aim to bring back lead actor and producer Jason Sudeikis next time around.
It's no wonder that Warner Bros. Television tapped Hannah Waddingham, who had been contracted under the auspices of the British acting trade union Equity. She won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Ted Lasso in 2021. The talented actress also played Septa Unella in Game of Thrones and will appear alongside Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 8.
