Even before the Terraria 1.4.4 update, defeating the Empress of Light during the day is an absolute nightmare. Especially when faced with her much harder difficulty levels.
She has the potential to one hit you and your strategy involves stacking multiple items and buffs to avoid her attacks as well as having high enough damage output to end the fight quickly.
The latest 1.4.4 update is much more difficult. Now dodge potions and buffs don't affect her and the only way to survive her attacks is to not get hit.
