The Magic Carpet is one of the newly added items in the latest update of Terraria version 1.4.4. This is a green rarity accessory that the player can use to float and travel vertically and horizontally. However, you can only use it for four seconds.
To use this, press and hold the jump button to keep yourself floating in the air. Releasing it disables the magic carpet. But you can still use it to fly at a lower altitude if the time limit is still not fully used.
