Tesla sued yet again for 'systemic' racism at Cali factory

HomeNews, Other ContentTesla sued yet again for 'systemic' racism at Cali factory

Another lawsuit was filed this week against Tesla citing a "systemically … racially hostile work environment" at the company's factory in Fremont, California.

California to sue Tesla over allegations of racism

This one even broadens the envelope to include similar allegations of misconduct at Tesla's battery "megafactory" in nearby Lathrop, CA.

For anyone who's followed previous allegations of racial discrimination against Tesla in Fremont, this latest complaint [PDF] filed this week in California's Alameda County Superior Court won't sound particularly original.

The 14 black, Hispanic and Hispanic plaintiffs in the case, who worked at either Tesla's Fremont or Lathrop facilities, allege they were all targeted by discrimination, alleging they were called derogatory names and subjected to racist graffiti, saying both occurred at several occasions. According to the lawsuit, anyone who spoke up was met with actions including disciplinary action, bullying, transfers, increased hostility and wrongful termination.
