Who, me? Welcome back to another Monday and another installment of Who, Me? where Register readers own the … let's say "learning experiences" … they've had during their careers.
How to recover deleted user account in Google Workspace | Google Admin tips
This week's eager learner is someone we'll regomize as "Pat" who is a senior programmer and help desk supervisor for an agricultural company. In that role, he and a bunch of other bodies enjoy administrator privileges for their various domains, but—probably for good reason—each of the administrators also has a regular user account with no admin privileges. They do most of their business on their regular user accounts where no harm can be done, they only use the admin accounts when needed to do admin stuff.
It seems like a sensible arrangement, really. Spend all your time on an admin account and things can break, right?
Anyway, a few years ago Pat was in the process of upgrading the system from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2016 – skipping the 2010 and 2013 releases, which was not unusual. Obviously, there were quite a few differences between the two, both in terms of user interface and functionality.
