Over the years, Hugh Jackman has become a name synonymous with strength and resilience, following his legendary portrayal of Wolverine in the X-Men series. Although the actor was initially given the role, after Russell Crowe turned it down, Jackman deftly used the opportunity as his ticket to stardom, with his superb acting skills and chiseled physique.

But despite being highly regarded by fans for his role as Wolverine, Hugh Jackman refused to take up the mantle after Logan. According to the X-Men producer, the reason behind this decision lies in the physical demands of the role which have become too much for an aging Jackman.

Despite finding incredible success in his role as Wolverine in the X-Men series, Hugh Jackman repeatedly announced his retirement after Logan (2017). But although he appears alongside Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming Deadpool sequel, Jackman's presence in the film is said to come at a great cost. According to X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner, the physical nature of the role had taken a toll on Jackman.
