In The Boys Season 4 Episode 4, Butcher appears when Ezekiel and Frenchie start fighting to help their The Boys teammate. However, Butcher couldn't hold on for very long and Ezekiel has Butcher in a choke hold. Now, the interesting thing is that when Butcher thinks he's going to die, and passes out, he wakes up alive and finds Ezekiel blown to bits. So, what did Ezekiel kill and how did he die? Let's find out.

From the looks of things, it seems like Ezekiel was somehow killed by the worm we've seen crawling under Butcher's skin. As Butcher was about to pass out, the worm came near his mouth and crawled under his skin and when he woke up, Ezekiel was blown to pieces. The Worm and Butcher may have a symbiotic relationship due to which it protects Butcher from dying by taking over his body and killing Ezekiel.

However, this is only speculative as the episode didn't show us what powers the Butchers have now. The Boys Season 4 Episode 4 also showed us that the mask came about after Butcher took Compound V. So there is also a possibility that the mask is Butcher's power.

In the past, we've seen similar blown-up deaths at the hands (or rather mind) of Congresswoman Victoria Neuman. It is also possible that Butcher gained such powers from Compound V. If so, Butcher now has an advantage over Homelander and he may finally be able to exact his revenge.
