Billy Butcher has gone mad, this time in an alarming way!

Film Theory: How to BEAT Homelander (The Boys)

The Boys Season 4 may have been criticized for its slower pace so far, but things are heating up with each episode. The latest Episode 6, which may have been the second most shameless of the lot since Herogasm, saw fans get a taste of everything that's wrong with Bully Butcher, expertly portrayed by Karl Urban.

There's no doubt that Butcher has completely lost his guts, and last episode gave us clues as to the extent of the damage his brain tumor has caused. V-ued up, former The Boys leader seen kidnapping Dr. Sameer Shah in the previous episode, was seen coming to terms with the two personas that have taken over his mind.

While Billy Butcher was known to have visions of his deceased lover Becca since last season, he realized that even Joe Kessler is just a hallucination his mind has conjured up. That, alongside a number of implications for The Boys, also draws parallels with a Marvel character for Butcher himself, that of The Sentry.
