Tanjiro Kamado is the only person after Yoriichir Tsugikuni to break the curse of the Demon Slayer mark.

How Tanjiro UNALIVED Every Hashira | Demon Slayer Season 4 Explained

Demon Slayer season 4 ended after Hashira and Tanjiro's group entered the Infinity Castle. The next season will feature Hashira's all-out battle against the demons. Fans are pretty excited about how the animation and storyline turned out. However, those who have read the manga will know that while there was a happy ending for the young Demon Slayers, most of the Hashiras did not make it out of Infinity Castle alive.

It may come as a shock to many but the only two Hashiras to make it out alive were Sanemi Shinazugawa and Tomioka Giyu. While most fans believe that it is a consequence of the Demon Slayer mark, a recent fan theory has put forward another point besides the Demon Slayer mark. The fan theory talks about how Tanjiro Kamado lives with a Demon Slayer badge if someone unlocking the badge were to die before the age of 25.

When a Demon Slayer unlocks the Demon Slayer badge, they are supposed to die before the age of 25. It is one of the curses that come with the enhanced abilities. By the Infinity Castle arc, every Hashira had reached their Demon Slayer mark. However, there is a controversy as to why Tanjiro Kamado lived a long and happy life despite being the one who first awakened it. This is where the fan theory points out that Tanjiro was the second Demon Slayer to unlock the mark and live a long life.
