When the PS5 was announced, it was believed that it would outshine the Xbox in every aspect, but the latest statistics paint a different picture. The console wars have taken a new turn as Xbox fanboys hang on to the user numbers and point to the console's superiority.

A recent tweet has reignited the debate by comparing the active users of PlayStation Network (PSN) and Xbox, with the latter dominating the pool with 500 million users versus PSN's 123 million. Still, numbers don't reveal the whole picture because this kind of superiority is again meaningless.

The intense battle for active users between PSN and Xbox is always going on. According to reports, PSN had the highest number of 123 million in December 2023, while Xbox supporters are celebrating a staggering number of 500 million.
