A few years ago, Epic Games' popular title Fortnite was removed from the App Store and Google Play Store when it tried to bypass the company's payment system for purchasing the game's currency, V-Bucks. Epic Games fought a long legal battle against the tech giants and is now seeing results.
The company had announced its plans to bring its digital store to mobile devices via the App Store and Google Play. In a sudden and surprising reveal, the company has now officially launched the Epic Games Store for Android and iOS devices, bringing with it the popular Epic titles.
Epic Games announced this via a press release, saying that the Epic Games Store is available for download on Android devices worldwide while it is only available for iPhone users in the European Union. It also recognized the Digital Markets Act in order to launch the store in the EU.
